I can remember my very first Victory Outreach conference. I was just a teenager filled with so much excitement to hear from God and see my family from all the other V.O. churches. I remember anxiously waiting to see if my boss would give me the days off. I wanted so desperately to be at every service in the presence of God. I just knew if I could just get there, He would speak to me.
Growing up in the mother church, I always heard that God had a plan and a destiny for my life and His call was upon me. I had such an over whelming love for Jesus in this new life He had chosen for me and I was not going to let anything get in the way of God’s plan.
I had already decided, if I can’t get the time off work, I will have to quit my job. I really liked my job, but I really loved Jesus and committed everything to him. Thankfully, God made a way and I attended every service and every year since.
In this scripture, the meaning of “hold fast” means to seize it and hold on tight. I found Christ at a very young age and I wasn’t going to let go. It hasn’t always been easy these last 42 years, but it has been worth it.
Holding on to the vision God has for my life has been challenging at times. There have been moments when I doubted that God would choose me to fulfill his purpose. But in those moments, God’s faithfulness always prevailed.
Year after year, conference after conference, the breakthrough I desperately needed was always there for me. So I urge you to firmly hold on and never let go of the dream God has given you. Don’t let anything or anyone get in the way of seeing it come to pass. Go after it without wavering because we serve a faithful God who fulfills His promises!

Puedo recordar mi primera conferencia mundial de Alcance Victoria. Solo era una jovencita llena de mucha emoción de oír de Dios y de ver a toda la familia de las demás Iglesia de Alcance Victoria. Recuerdo esperando ansiosamente a ver si mi jefe me iba a dar los días. Quería ir desesperadamente y estar en cada servicio en la presencia de Dios. Sabía que si tan solo llegaba, El me hablaría.
Creciendo en la Iglesia Madre, yo siempre escuchaba que Dios tenía un plan y un destino para mi vida y su llamado estaba sobre mí. Tenía un amor tan grande por Cristo en esta nueva vida qué Él había escogido para mí y no iba a dejar nada interponerse en el camino del plan de Dios en mi vida.
Yo ya había decidido, si no puedo obtener mi tiempo libre del trabajo, tendría que dejar el trabajo. Realmente me gustaba mi trabajo, pero yo realmente amaba a Jesús y había comprometido todo a Él. Gracias a Dios, el abrió camino y asistí cada servicio y cada año después.
En esta escritura, el significado de “sin fluctuar” quiere decir de mantener firme y en lugar. Yo encontré a Cristo a una edad muy joven y no lo iba a dejar ir. No siempre ha sido fácil en estos últimos 42 años, pero si ha valido la pena.
Agarrándome de la Visión que Dios tenía para mí vida a sido un gran reto en veces. Han avistó momentos cuando dude que Dios me escogiera para cumplir su propósito. Pero en esos momentos, la fidelidad de Dios siempre prevaleció
Ano tras ano, conferencia tras conferencia, los quebrantamientos que yo tan desesperadamente necesitaba siempre han estado allí para mí. I yo te reto a que tú firmemente te agarres y nunca dejes ir el sueño que Dios te ha dado. No dejes que nada ni nadie se interponga en el cumplimiento. ¡Ve tras de el sin fluctuar porque servimos a un Dios fiel que cumple sus promesas!

Make the Choice, Face the Challenge and See the Change
Having the will to make our own choices is something that the Lord gave us freely. We are faced with making choices and decisions every day. We choose to eat what we want to eat when we want to eat it. We choose to go to work if we want to. We even make simple decision about what we wear on a daily basis. These are the things that we don’t think anything of because it’s our choice to make, but there comes a time when God wants us to make life changing decisions that will prompt us to make a choice, which will ultimately bring about change.
It will cause us to change the way we think, change the way we do things, and for some of us, even change the place we live. These kinds of choices are hard to make because our heart will guide us to make choices based on our feelings, but God has not called us to be a people that live by our emotion. Jeremiah 17:9 says “The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” God does not want us to make choices based on how we feel, but to make them based on what is right, living our lives according to His will through is his word.
Genesis 4:7 Says “You will be accepted if you do what is right, but if you refuse to do what is right then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” Some people choose not to make the right choices for two reasons: 1) they don’t want their lives inconvenienced having to go through God’s process of change and 2) they simply don’t like change through fear of the unknown.
When my husband talks to the church on the subject of change, he has a saying “Change isn’t Change until you Change.” When we were launched out to the City of Birmingham, I knew it wasn’t going to be easy and that it would be a big challenge for me there. We were in a new city with people that were culturally different – a new environment with no friends or family nearby. I was fearful because I didn’t know what to expect, but I made the choice to put my trust in the Lord and stand upon his promises that he made to us through his word, and he has kept every one of them. The challenges have been hard, a lot of tears, but I have recognised that it is necessary if we want to experience growth and change in our lives, our family, our church, our city, our region, within Europe and ultimately, this world. God has called us to play a part within this great vision.
A big thank you to Pastor Sonny and Sister Julie for catching and transmitting the heart of God to Pastor Brian and Sister Vivian and to Pastor Mitchell and Sister Nellie who both made the choice to come to Europe and face the challenges they did so that they could see change and the promise of God fulfilled in Isaiah 45: 2-3. JOB DONE, EUROPE HAS BEEN INFECTED with the vision that God has given Victory Outreach International. God is faithful and true, his love is amazing, steady and unchanging. The challenges that we sometime face are tough, but Jesus is there to coach us all the way through to the finish line. If you want to receive and experience all that God has for you, do not wrestle, but let us continue to make the right choice, face the challenge and see the change so that together we can win this world trailblazing the future for Jesus.

Haz tu Elección, Enfrenta el Reto y Mira el Cambio
Teniendo la voluntad de hacer nuestras propias elecciones es algo que el Señor nos ha dado libremente. Nos enfrentamos con decisiones cada día. Escogemos comer lo que queremos comer a la hora que queramos. Escogemos ir a trabajar si queremos. Aun hacemos decisiones tan simples como que vestimos diariamente. Estas son cosas en que casi no pensamos porque depende de nuestra elección, pero hay tiempos en que Dios quiere que hagamos decisiones que cambien nuestras vidas que nos llevara hacer una elección, que ultimadamente de allí surgirá un cambio.
Esto nos causara a cambiar la manera en que pensamos, cambiara la manera en que hacemos las cosas, y para algunos de nosotros, aun cambiara el lugar en donde vivimos. Estos tipos de cambios son difíciles de hacer porque nuestro corazón nos guiara a hacer estas elecciones basadas en nuestras emociones, pero Dios no nos llamó a ser un pueblo que vive por su emoción. Jeremías 17:9 dice “Nada hay tan engañoso como el corazón. No tiene remedio. ¿Quién puede comprenderlo? ” Dios no quiere que hagamos decisiones basadas en cómo nos sentimos, sino basadas en que es lo correcto, viviendo nuestras vidas de acuerdo a su voluntad por medio de su palabra.
Génesis 4:7 dice “Si hicieras lo bueno, podrías andar con la frente en alto. Pero si haces lo malo, el pecado te acecha, como una fiera lista para atraparte. No obstante, tú puedes dominarlo.” Algunos escogen no hacer las decisiones correctas por dos razones: 1)no quieren la inconveniencia de la vida teniendo que ir por el proceso de cambio de parte de Dios y 2)simplemente no les gusta el cambio por el temor a lo desconocido.
Cuando mi esposo habla con la iglesia en el tema de cambio, él dice un decir “Cambio no es cambio hasta que tu cambies.” Cuando nosotros fuimos lanzados a la ciudad de Birmingham, yo supe que no iba hacer fácil y que sería un gran reto para mí estar allí. Estábamos en una nueva ciudad con gente que era culturalmente diferente- un nuevo ambiente sin amistades o familia cerca. Yo estaba temerosa porque no sabía que esperar, pero hice la elección de poner mi confianza en el Señor y de pararme en sus promesas que nos había hecho por medio de su palabra, y él ha mantenido cada una de ellas. Los retos han sido difíciles, muchas lágrimas, pero he reconocido que es necesario que si queremos experimentar crecimiento y cambio en nuestras vidas, nuestra familia, nuestra iglesia, nuestra región, dentro de Europa y ultimadamente, este mundo, Dios nos ha llamado a juga dentro de esta gran visión.
Muchas gracias a Pastor Sonny y Hermana Julie por capturar y transmitir el corazón de Dios a Pastor Brian y Hermana Vivian y a Pastor Mitchell y Hermana Nellie que ambos han hecho la decisión de venir a Europa y enfrentarse con los retos que hicieron para poder ver el cambio y la promesa de Dios cumplida en Isaías 45:2-3 TRABAJO COMPLETO, EUROPA HA SIDO INFECTADO con la visión que Dios ha dado a Alcance Victoria Internacional. Dios es fiel y verdadero, su amor es maravilloso, constante y invariable. Los retos que a veces enfrentamos son difíciles, pero Jesús esa allí para entrenarnos hasta el final. Esther 4:16
“Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa and fast for me,
Do not eat or drink for three days night or day, I and my maids will fast as you do.
When this is done, I will go to the king even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”
Esther knew if she went into the king’s presence without been summoned, she was taking a risk with her life. Her uncle, Mordecai, told her, “Esther, if you remain silent at such an important time like this, God will raise up someone else.” Then he tells her, “…you have come to the kingdom of God for such a time as this.”
As we read on, the story unfolds. Esther tells Mordecai to tell the Jews all over Shushan “fast for me for three days and three nights do not eat nor drink.” She was willing to lay down her life for her people.
God called you and I to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow him daily. As we are nearing the end of our 40-day fast and seeking God, we are believing Him for miracles, for bondages to be broken and for the captive to be set free.
My prayer is that we have the same spirit Esther had – a sacrificial one. She was willing to lay down her life; she was committed to the task that God set before her; she was down for the cause because she had a cause.

Ester sabía que si ella entraba en la presencia del Rey sin ser llamada, ella estaba tomando un riesgo con su vida. Su tío, Mardoqueo, le dijo, “Ester, si tu permaneces callada en un tiempo tan importante como este, Dios va a levantar a alguien más.” Luego le dice, “…tú has venido al reino para un tiempo como este.”
Mientras continuamos leyendo, la historia se desenvuelve. Ester le dice a Mardoqueo que les diga a todos los Judíos alrededor de Susa “Ayunen por mi tres días y tres noches no coman ni beban.” Ella estaba dispuesta a dar su vida por su gente.
Dios te llamo a ti y a mí a negarnos a nosotros mismos, de tomar nuestra cruz y seguirle a el diariamente. Mientras estamos más cerca a concluir nuestro Ayuno de 40 días y búsqueda de Dios, estamos creyéndole a Él por milagros, para romper toda ligadura y por libertad para los cautivos
Mi oración es que tengamos el mismo espíritu que tuvo Ester- uno de sacrificio. Ella estaba dispuesta a dar su vida, ella estaba comprometida con su misión que Dios había puesto delante de ella, ella estaba presta para su causa, porque ella tenía una causa.

Joshua 1:6-9 “Be strong and courageous…Be strong and very courageous…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 11:20 “As the Lord commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did it; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.”
During the past week, millions of us have been glued to the t.v., watching and re-watching the devastation that has taken place there in the country of Japan. We have seen videos of the tsunami, the earthquake and the possible melt-down of the nuclear reactors. The media has tried to prepare those of us in California of the nuclear clouds which will enter our atmosphere all the way from Japan!
As I have watched the people of Japan endure such tragedies that most of us have never experienced, one thing stands out to me – their courage. They are not fighting for food, they are not looting stores, they are standing in line waiting their turn. The Chinese word for courage is “grannette.” Courage is honor…which is what the Japanese people have shown the world.
Courage or honor was what God was challenging Joshua to have in his new role as leader of the Israelites.
We have been challenged by our leadership to fast this season of Lent. Lent comes from an Old English word that means lengthen, signifying that the days are getting longer because Spring is here. Traditionally Lent is a season of sober, realistic reflection on our own lives and our need for a Savior. It is a time for turning away from anything that has kept us from God and for turning or returning to him. It is a time to pray that God renew our love for him and our dependence on him.
I hope that this season will be a time where you find the courage to stand for what God has promised you, stand against the lies of the enemy and stand and turn from anything that is keeping you from drawing closer to Him. “Be strong and very courageous.”

Durante la semana pasada, millones de nosotros hemos estado pegados a la televisión, mirando y repasando la devastación que tomo lugar en la ciudad de Japón. Hemos visto videos del tsunami, los terremotos y los posibles derrames del reactor nuclear. ¡La media a tratado de preparar a los habitantes de california de las nubes nucleares que entraran a nuestro atmosfera desde Japón! Mientras observo a la gente de Japón como soportar las tragedias que muchos de nosotros jamás hemos experimentado, una cosa sobresalió- su valentía. No están peleando por comida, no están robando tiendas, están esperando en una línea por su turno. La palabra china para valentía es “grannette.” Valentía es honor… que es lo que la gente japonesa ha mostrado al mundo.
Valentía u honor era lo que Dios retaba a Josué que tuviera en su nuevo papel de líder de los Israelitas.
Nosotros hemos sido retados por nuestro liderazgo a ayunar en esta temporada de cuaresma. La Cuaresma viene del Ingles Antiguo que significa alargar, significando que los días se están alargando porque la primavera ha llegado. Tradicionalmente la cuaresma es una temporada de soberbiad, una reflexión realística de nuestras propias vidas y nuestra necesidad de un salvador. Es un tiempo de voltearnos de todo que nos ha mantenido lejos de Dios y de voltearnos o retornarnos a Él. Es un tiempo de orar que Dios renueve nuestro amor para él y nuestra dependencia de él.
Espero que esta temporada sea un tiempo donde encuentres valentía para pararte por lo que Dios te ha prometido, pararte en contra de las mentiras del enemigo y pararte y voltearte de todo que te ha mantenido de acercarte más a Él. “Esfuérzate y se Valiente.”
